This change also ensures compliance with European law, transposing pending directives and improving legal certainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reform introduces <strong>improvements in visas, roots, work, study and family reunification permits<\/strong>The aim is to facilitate the regularisation of migrants, combat fraud and promote social and labour inclusion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd39 Main new features of the Aliens Regulation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>1\ufe0f<strong> Changes to visas<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 A <strong>specific title for visas<\/strong>which simplifies requirements and procedures.<br>\u2714 <strong>All initial authorisations shall be for 1 year and renewals for 4 years.<\/strong>The Commission has also been able to avoid any irregularities that may arise.<br>\u2714 <strong>Facilitating changes of residence<\/strong>It will not be necessary to leave Spain in order to change from temporary to long-term residence.<br>\u2714 <strong>Jobseeker's visa extended to 12 months<\/strong> (previously 3 months), allowing migrants to find work in their sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2 Creation of a new \"Arraigo\" and relaxation of requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spain becomes the <strong>only EU country<\/strong> with a specific figure of migratory regularization by means of <strong>roots<\/strong>now with five modalities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 <strong>Social Roots<\/strong><br>\u2714 <strong>Socio-occupational roots<\/strong><br>\u2714 <strong>Family roots<\/strong><br>\u2714 <strong>Socio-formative rootedness<\/strong> <em>(upgraded, with the possibility of exceptional renewal)<\/em><br>\u2714 <strong>Second Chance Arraigo<\/strong> <em>(new, for those who have had a residency in the last two years and did not renew it for non-penalisable reasons)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udfe2 <strong>The number of required years of residence is reduced from 3 to 2 years.<\/strong>.<br>\ud83d\udfe2 <strong>Requirements are made more flexible and work is allowed from the outset<\/strong>both as an employee and as a self-employed person.<br>\ud83d\udfe2 <strong>All authorisations will be for 1 year, except for the family integration permit, which will be for 5 years.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udccc <strong>It is estimated that 300,000 people will be regularised each year with these changes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3 More job opportunities and stability for migrants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 Most authorisations will allow you to work from day one, without the need for additional formalities.<br>Students will be able to work up to 30 hours per week, which will facilitate their integration into the labour market.<br>A special permit is created for temporary and seasonal work, ensuring better working conditions and protection against abuse.<br>\u2714 Employers will have more information and flexibility in recruiting migrants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4\ufe0f<strong> What's new in the Residence for Studies and Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2714 The duration of the authorisation to stay for study purposes shall be the same as the duration of the training.<br>Ease of transition from student to worker with a streamlined process.<br>\u2714 Better control over study centres to avoid fraud in the issuing of certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5\ufe0f<strong> Extension of Family Reunification and New Authorisations for Relatives of Spaniards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The age of children eligible for reunification is extended to 26 years (previously 21).<br>\u2714 Unregistered partners may be reunited, provided that a stable relationship can be demonstrated.<br>Reunification is extended to children and parents of victims of trafficking, sexual or gender-based violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> It is estimated that thousands of families will be able to benefit from this measure, especially those in which one of the members has recently obtained Spanish nationality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\ud83d\udd39 What impact will this reform have?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It will facilitate the integration of migrants into the labour market and society.<br>\u2714 It will increase the regularisation of people already living in Spain.<br>It will simplify and streamline procedures, reducing the bureaucratic burden.<br>It will allow companies to recruit workers with greater legal certainty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> If you would like to find out how these changes can benefit you or you need advice on how to apply for residency, contact us.
