NON-PROFIT RESIDENCE
WHAT IS IT?
The non-profit residence is an authorisation that allows foreigners to residing in Spain without carrying out any work or professional activities. It is ideal for those who wish to live in Spain for personal reasons, enjoy their quality of life or invest in the country without having to work.
This authorisation must be requested from the country of origin and is initially granted by one yearwith the possibility of renewal.
REQUIREMENTS
Sufficient financial means
The applicant must demonstrate that he/she has stable financial resources to support him/herself in Spain without the need to work.
- Minimum quantity required: 400% from IPREM yearly (Public Indicator of Multiple Effect Income (Indicador Público de Renta de Efectos Múltiples)), which in 2024 is approximately equivalent to €28,800 for the main applicant.
- For each additional family member: An additional 100% of the IPREM must be credited (approx. €7,200 per person).
How to prove financial means?
- Bank statements for the last 6-12 months.
- Income-producing properties or investments.
- Passive income, retirement or foreign source income.
- Letter of commitment of financial support from a family member.
✔ Private health insurance
It must be contracted in Spainwith full coverage with no co-payments and a minimum term of one year.
✔ Accommodation in Spain
It is necessary to present a rental contract, title deed or invitation letter.
✔ No criminal record
No convictions in Spain or in the countries where they have resided in the last few years. 5 years.
✔ Medical examination
A medical certificate attesting that the applicant does not suffer from contagious diseases according to the International Health Regulations.
